We’re hiring! Join us in shaping the future, and making new things possible.
We’re currently looking to expand our engineering team with both frontend and backend developers who can see the whole picture. Frontend with a little backend, or backend with a little frontend, perhaps. Or a whole lot of either.

Reduct builds a transcript-based video editor that allows people to analyze and think with recorded conversations as easily as text. We’re used by companies you know—Spotify, Facebook, Autodesk—and backed by people you know—Greylock, Elad Gil, Dylan Field, etc.
We’re a small team—about 12 people—and we wear many hats. Our technical team believes in understanding the frameworks and systems in our stack, and isn’t afraid to build our own when appropriate (so far, that’s included our video decoder and database). That’s helped us bring responsive and elegant interfaces for collaborative video editing into the browser, with low latency and even beauty. Yes, it’s B2B SaaS—but it’s a little weirder than you might think.
Our culture is one of collaboration, exploration, and autonomy. We’re interested in how technology shapes society and cognition. We read Walter Ong for our book club, and watched Charlie Chaplin and Elia Suleiman on our last retreat. We’re the only startup around with a media theory book club. We embrace the differences of our team members and actively seek diversity of backgrounds, beliefs, education, and all the other things that make us unique. We strive to create a high-trust space where employees can bring their true selves to work every day.
Candidates from nontraditional backgrounds and underrepresented groups and communities are strongly encouraged to apply.
We offer all the usual perks: competitive compensation, equity, a laptop, health, vision, dental, 401k. We have offices in San Francisco, NYC, and Kathmandu, and mix in-person with remote work.
